Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Route 2004 (Back Maitland Road) will close Monday, September 8, as work to replace a bridge spanning a tributary of Jack’s Creek between Hibridge Circle and Mountainview Drive in Derry Township gets under way.
While it is closed, traffic will follow a detour using Routes 3001 (Main Street), Route 3002 (East Charles Street) Route 22, Route 522, and Route 2001 (Crossover Drive) around the work zone. PennDOT anticipates the detour will be in place until mid-October, but all schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Work on this project includes the replacement of the structure, approach paving, guide rail installation, pavement marking, and miscellaneous construction. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., of State College, PA, is the contractor on this $498,000 project.
