Weight Limit Posted on Route 3023 Coal Hollow Road Bridge in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a newly established weight limit on Route 3023 (Coal Hollow Road) Bridge in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County.

The new restriction will limit the weight of single vehicles to 12 tons, except for emergency vehicles with permits issued by the department. The posting was implemented after a routine inspection revealed deterioration of the deck of the bridge.  The bridge had a prior weight restriction of 22 tons.

Vehicles exceeding the posted weight limit are suggested to find alternate routes.
