Virtual Plans Display Announced for Route 30 Intersection Project in Westmoreland County

Meeting materials and a comment form are now available online

Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Engineering District 12, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the public to participate in a Virtual Plans Display to review and provide feedback on the Route 30, Wimmerton Boulevard, Saint Xavier’s Road Intersection Project in Unity Township, Westmoreland County.

This project will install a mountable curb to create left turn lanes onto Wimmerton Boulevard and Saint Xavier’s Road from Route 30 while fully restricting left turns out of both roads.

The purpose of this Virtual Plans Display is to provide information on the Route 30, Wimmerton Boulevard, Saint Xavier’s Road Intersection Project covering the improvements, impacts, traffic control, and anticipated schedule.

To participate in the Virtual Plans Display visit PennDOT’s District 12 website under the Projects Near You and select Route 30, Wimmerton Boulevard, Saint Xavier’s Road Intersection Project. The materials will be on the website for the duration of the project. The public comment period is March 11 through March 25.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
