Ramp closure scheduled Friday, October 9 in Greene County.
Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing the entrance ramp of northbound Interstate 79 at Exit 14 (Waynesburg) in Franklin Township, Greene County is scheduled to close on Friday, October 9 at 8:00 PM until Saturday, October 10 at 6:00 AM. All work depends on weather and operations.
The posted detour will direct traffic to enter I-79 at southbound Exit 14 (Waynesburg), then exit I-79 southbound at Exit 7 (Kirby), turn left onto Kirby Road, turn left onto northbound Exit 7 (Kirby) entrance ramp and continue on northbound I-79.
The ramp closure will allow crews from Lindy Paving to complete paving.
This work is part of the I-79 Waynesburg to Marianna Project, that improves approximately 11 miles of I-79, extending through Franklin and Washington townships in Greene County and Amwell Township in Washington County, a $45.9 million infrastructure investment. Lindy Paving, Inc., is the prime contractor.
Drivers are asked to exercise caution driving through the work zone. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
