Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing the scheduled closure of a portion of Route 221 between London Hollow Road and Archer Road in Morris Township, Washington County beginning Monday, June 1.
A posted detour will be in place utilizing Route 18, Route 19, and Route 221, anticipated to remain in effect until late September for slide repair work.
All work depends on weather and operational conditions.
Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Allison Park will conduct slide repairs at this location as part of a larger slide-repair project in Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties. The scope of work includes repairing slides, drainage and roadway improvements, an infrastructure investment of $7.5 million.
