Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing the scheduled closure of a portion of Route 18 (Park Avenue) between Dewey Avenue and South Main Street in the City of Washington, Washington County, beginning Monday, June 8.
A posted detour will be in place until the end of June using Park Avenue, Franklin Farms Road, West Chestnut Street, Jefferson Avenue, West Maiden Street, South Main Street.
During this time Allison Park Contractors, Inc., will replace the existing box culvert underneath Route 18 with a new pre-cast box culvert. This work includes excavation of existing concrete box culvert, installing new pre-cast concrete box culvert, full-depth asphalt roadway replacement and concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk replacement. This work is part of the Route 2001/Route 18 Over Catfish Creek Bridge Replacement Project.
