    Route 18 and Route 2001 Intersection Paving Scheduled in Washington County

    Work is part of Route 2001/Route 18 Over Catfish Creek Bridge Replacement Project.

    Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing single-lane restrictions at the intersection of Route 18 and Route 2001 in the City of Washington, Washington County.

    Single-lane restrictions controlled by flaggers are scheduled to occur from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM Thursday, September 24, Friday, September 25 and Monday, September 28.

    Saturday, September 26 will be used as a weather make-up day, if necessary, with restrictions possible from 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

    During this time, Allison Park Contractors will perform milling, paving, and line painting at the intersection of Route 18 and Route 2001, including Park Avenue, South Main Street, and South Street.

    This $2.25 million investment will replace the existing box culvert underneath Route 18 with a new pre-cast box culvert. This work includes excavation of the existing concrete box culvert, installing a new pre-cast concrete box culvert, full-depth asphalt road replacement and concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk replacement. This work is part of the Route 2001/Route 18 Over Catfish Creek Bridge Replacement Project.

    Drivers should remain alert and use caution when traveling through the area.
