Route 119 Bridge Rehabilitation Continues in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a single-lane restriction is scheduled to occur in both directions on Route 119 between Exit OB (I-70/I-76 New Stanton) to the Youngwood Ramp A (Route 8007) in New Stanton Borough, Westmoreland County, beginning Monday, April 6.

The single-lane restriction is expected to remain in place through mid-June, weather and operational permitting.

Crews from Gulisek Construction LLC will be replacing deck joints, hydro-demolition of the concrete deck, placing a latex modified concrete wearing surface, and paving of bituminous wearing surface along the southern side of northbound and southbound structures.

This job is part of a $3.13 million infrastructure investment in a larger hydro/latex bridge deck preservation project.

Allow extra travel time and navigate work zones with caution. Safety is a shared responsibility.
