Route 1009 Center School Road Bridge Replacement Scheduled in Greene County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing the closure of a portion of Route 1009 (Center School Road) between Chartiers Road and Castile Run Road in Morgan Township, Greene County, beginning Monday, August 3.

A posted detour will be in place until mid-October using Bacon Run Road, Castile Run Drive, Castile Ridge Road, Barr Run Road, Clarksville Road, and Chartiers Road.

Department Force Bridge crew will demolish the existing structure, replace it with precast concrete box culvert. Work will also consist of widening the approaches, paving and guiderail. A $750,000 infrastructure investment project.

All work depends on weather and operational conditions.
