Resurfacing Project Set to Begin in Washington and Westmoreland Counties

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a resurfacing project that will require single-lane restrictions on several roadways in Washington and Westmoreland counties.

Work is scheduled to take place weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning Monday, April 6 until the end of July. All work depends on weather and operations.

Resurfacing locations include:

Washington County

  • Route 1020 (Taylor Run Road), Somerset Township – between Taylor Bogdan Road and Route 88.
  • Route 2075 (Highland Drive), California Borough – between Knob Road and Ellsworth Road.
  • Route 2089 (Main Street), Centerville Borough – between Low Hill Road and Two Mile Run.
  • Route 19 (Washington Road), Peters Township – between Shopping Center Drive Mocassin Drive; McDowell Lane and Old Washington Road/Allegheny County.
  • Route 19 (Amity Ridge Road), Amwell Township – from the Greene County Line and Mankey Road.

Westmoreland County

  • Route 3016 (Madison Road/Hermine Road), South Huntington Township – between Wilps Road and Rim Rock Lane
  • Route 4013 (Locust Lane), Penn Township – between Locust Street/Burrell Hill Road and Chestnut Lane
  • Route 4014 (Maple Lane), North Huntington Township – between Skellytown Road and Irwin Trafford Road
  • Route 4021 (Skellytown Road), North Huntington Township – between Route 30 and Barner Hill Road
  • Route 30 (Lincoln Highway), Hempfield Township – between Basil Drive and Blackberry Road
  • Route 30 (Lincoln Highway), Unity Township – between St Xaviers Road to Longbridge Road and St. Xaviers Road to Idlewild Hill Road.
  • Route 31, Mount Pleasant Township – between Three Mile Hill Road and Mt. Circle Drive.
  • Route 130 (Clopper Street), City of Greensburg – between Barclay Street and Jacks Run.
  • Route 3002 (Pittsburgh Street), East Huntington Township – between Hornertown Road and Broadway Avenue
  • Route 3077 (Youghiogheny Street), Adamsburg Borough and Hempfield Township – between Ash Lane and Coal Street
  • Route 4105 (Hancock Avenue), Allegheny Township – between Leona Lane and Custer Avenue

Crews from Tresco Paving Construction will be resurfacing roadways with a two-inch overlay, base repair, leveling, wearing, driveway adjustments, and painting. This work is part of two districtwide projects covering multiple roadways throughout the district–a combined infrastructure investment of $15.1M.
