Lane restrictions remain in place on Interstate 79.
Ramp closures are postponed in Greene County.
Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing nightly ramp closures on Interstate 79 at Exit 14 (Masontown/Waynesburg) in Franklin Township, Greene County have been postponed. Revised dates will be announced in a future press release.
Ramp closures were scheduled to occur nightly from 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM beginning Wednesday, July 15, and continuing through Saturday, July 25, have been postponed. Updated dates will be announced once they are finalized.
Current I-79 single-lane restrictions between Exit 14 (Masontown/Waynesburg) and Exit 23 (Marianna/Prosperity) that began on June 18, will continue until late August.
This work is part of the I-79 Waynesburg to Marianna Project, which will make improvements to approximately 11 miles of I-79, extending through Franklin and Washington townships in Greene County and Amwell Township in Washington County a $45.9 million infrastructure investment. Lindy Paving, Inc., is the prime contractor.
Drivers are asked to exercise caution driving through the work zone. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
