Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager Dave Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of June 1. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Drivers can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Bridge repair:
- Route 4041 (Denmark Manor Rd) in Penn Township
- Road closed between Manor Valley Golf Course and Harrison City Export Road
- Detour:
- Denmark Manor Road

- Detour:

Base repair:
- Route 136 (Main Street) in West Newton Borough
- Route 51 in Rostraver Township
Crack sealing:
- Route 906 (Schoonmaker & Donner Ave) in the City of Monessen
- Route 201 (Rostraver Road) in Rostraver Township
- Route 3003 (Pricedale Road) in Rostraver Township
- Route 981 (Peer Street) in Smithton Borough
Paving:
- Route 993 (Irwin/Trafford Road) in North Huntingdon Township
Pipe installation:
- Route 1026 (Donohoe Road) in Unity Township
Inlet adjustment:
- Route 819 (Diamond Street) in Mount Pleasant Township
Tail ditching:
- Route 2001 (Bridgeport Road) in Mount Pleasant Township
Parallel ditching:
- Route 819 (Diamond Street) in Mount Pleasant Township
Shoulder cutting:
- Various routes in Bell, Washington and Allegheny townships
Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, and update existing signs, as well as address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.
Drivers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
