Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager Dave Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of Aug 10. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Drivers can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Base repair:
- Route 136 (Main st) West Newton Borough
- Route 1025 (Pizza Barn Road) in Derry Township
Cleaning ditch channels:
- Route 2033 (Bethel Church Road) in Unity Township
Inlet adjustment:
- Route 819 (Diamond Street) in Mt Pleasant Township
Inlet cleaning:
- Route 30 in Unity Township
Pipe repair/replacement:
- Route 982 (New Derry Road) in Derry Township
- Route 3073 (Buttermore Road) in East Huntingdon Township
Patching:
- Various routes in Upper Burrell and Washington townships
- Route 30 in North Huntingdon Township
- Route 2035 (Solomon Temple Road) in Unity Township
- Route 130 in Cook Township
Parallel ditching:
- Route 819 (Diamond Street) in Hempfield Township
- Route 3089 (Buttermore Avenue) in East Huntingdon Township
- Route 819 (Mt. Pleasant Scottdale Road) in East Huntingdon Township
- Route 3021 (Salem Church Road) in Rostraver Township
Side dozing:
- Route 1008 (Derry Ridge Road) in Fairfield Township
Surface treatment:
- Route 3016 (Herminie Road) in Sewickley Township
- Route 3018 (Sewickley Avenue) in Hempfield Township

Road repair:

Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, and update existing signs, as well as address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
