Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Fayette County Maintenance Manager Jason L. Spangler has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of August 3. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Drivers can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Brush cutting:
- Various routes in Bullskin, Connellsville, Georges, German townships
- Various routes in Farmington and Markleysburg
Inlet cleaning:
- Various routes in German, Georges, and Springhill townships
- Various routes in Farmington and Markleysburg
Side dozing:
- Route 1010 (Dickerson Run) in Franklin township
- Route 4028 (Town and Country Road) in Franklin township
Shoulder cutting:
- Route 4010 (Laurel Hill Road) in Dunbar township
- Route 1051 (Bute Road) in Dunbar township
Base repair:
- Route 4006 (New Salem Road) in German and Redstone townships
- Route 4004 (Raph New Salem Road) in German and Redstone townships
- Route 4002 (Ralph Road) in German and Redstone townships
- Route 3013 (Adah/Palmer Road) in German and Redstone townships
Bridge replacement:
- Route 1009 (White Road) in Saltlick Township
- Detour:
- County Line Road
- Buchanan Road
- White Road
- Detour:
Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, and update existing signs, as well as address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.
Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
