Nightly single-lane restrictions will be in place on Interstate 70.
Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing nightly single-lane restrictions in both directions of Interstate 70 between Exit 54 (Madison) and Exit 57 (New Stanton Hunker) in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, weather permitting.
Nightly restrictions will be in place from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17.
Crews from Gulisek Construction LLC will be installing an epoxy overlay on the structure that carries I-70 over Hunker Waltz Mill Road. This job is part of a $3.73 million infrastructure investment in a larger hydro/latex bridge deck preservation project.
Allow extra travel time and navigate work zones with caution. Safety is a shared responsibility.
