Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Fayette County Maintenance Manager Jason L. Spangler has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of April 6. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Drivers can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Pipe cleaning:
- Route 4030 (Reservoir Road) in Franklin Township
- Route 4032 (Bolden Road) in Franklin Township
- Route 2023 (Hopwood Coolspring Road) in North Union Township
- Route 2027 (Connellsville Street) North Union Township
- Route 166 (New Geneva Road) in Springhill Township
Shoulder repair:
- Route 381 (Ohiopyle/Millrun Road) in Stewart Township
- Route 4003 (Brownsville Road) in Jefferson Township
Crack sealing:
- Route 40 (National Pike) in Henry Clay Township
Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.
PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.
Drivers can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
