District 12 Roadway Closures Due to Flooding–Update

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that portions of the following state roadways are closed due to flooding:

Westmoreland County

·       Route 2049 (Sleepy Hollow/Causeway Road) in Derry Township

o   Between Route 30 and West Route 30

As issues are addressed, roadways will be reopened as soon as they are safe.

Drivers are reminded to:

·       Never drive through flooded roadways.

·       Obey all posted signs, barricades, and traffic controls.

·       Allow extra time for travel.

·       Turn on headlights when using wipers.

Drivers can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
