District 12 Roadway Closure Due to Downed Trees in Wires

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a portion of the following state roadway is closed due to downed trees in wires:

Washington County

  • Route 4049 (Main Street / Country Club Road) in South Strabane Township
    • Between Beech Street and Sherrard Drive

As issues are addressed, the roadway will be reopened.

Drivers are reminded to:

·       Reduce speed and remain alert for debris on the roadway.

·       Avoid driving through areas where trees, limbs, or wires are down.

·       Allow extra time for travel.

·       Never approach or drive over downed utility lines.

Drivers can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
