Bridge Preservation Project Begins Monday in Greene and Washington Counties

Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a bridge preservation project that will require single-lane restrictions on several roadways in Greene and Washington counties.

Work is scheduled to take place on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning Monday, March 16 through early-September. All work depends on weather and operations.

Resurfacing locations include:

Greene County

  • Route 1003 (Porter Street) over I-79 in Franklin Township

Washington County

  • Route 19 (Washington Road) over I-70 in Donegal Township
  • Route 2030 (Piersol Avenue) over Pigeon Creek in Bentleyville Borough
  • Route 2056 (Barrett Hill Road) over I-79 in Amwell Township
  • Route 3023 (Old Brick Road) over I-70 in Donegal Township
  • Route 3034 (Main Street) over I-70 in Donegal Township
  • Route 4069 (Paris Colliers Road) over Route 22 in Hanover Township
  • Route 4071 (Laurel Road) over Route 22 in Hanover Townshp

Crews from Triton Construction, Inc. will conduct bridge preservation activities, including latex overlays, epoxy overlays, expansion dam replacement, concrete repairs to extend the life of eight structures. A $4.1 million infrastructure investment project in Greene and Washington Counties.
