Bridge Preservation Project Begins in Fayette County

Route 119 shoulder restrictions scheduled.

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing shoulder restrictions are scheduled to occur on the Route 119 Connellsville Street exit ramp in North Union Township, Fayette County beginning Monday, October 5 through late December.

Mekis Construction Corporation will conduct bridge preservation activities, including latex overlays, epoxy overlays, expansion dam replacement, concrete repairs to extend the life of eight structures in Fayette County. A $2.1 million infrastructure investment.

Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
