Bridge Inspections Scheduled this Week in Greene, Washington and Westmoreland Counties

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing single-lane restrictions will be in place at the following locations during bridge inspections in Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland counties.  

Greene County:

Interstate 79 northbound over Route 221 at Exit 19 () in Washington Township

  • Wednesday, July 8, from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM

Washington County:

Interstate 70 in both directions between Exit 40 () and Exit 41 () in Speers Borough

  • Thursday, July 9, from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM

Westmoreland County:

Route 981 between Wimmerton Industrial Park and Lloyd Avenue Extension in Unity Township

  • Wednesday, July 8, from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM

PennDOT District 12 staff will perform the inspection work on the structures. All work is dependent on weather and operational conditions.

Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
