Testing Scheduled for Emergency Vehicle Pre-Emption Devices on Route 119 in Fayette County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that traffic flow may be briefly interrupted along Route 119 (Memorial Boulevard) between Crawford Avenue and Pittsburgh Street in the City of Connellsville, Fayette County, on Wednesday, October 29 and Thursday, October 30 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.

Crews from Bruce and Merrilees Electric Company in coordination with local emergency services, will be testing emergency vehicle pre-emption devices at the following intersections along Route 119 (Memorial Drive):

  • 8th Street
  • 9Th Street
  • Shopping Plaza Drive
  • McDonald’s Drive
  • Pittsburgh Street

Motorists should expect to experience traffic delays during testing. Stay alert, exercise caution, and be patient as crews complete this important safety work. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
