Surface Improvement Work Begins Monday in Westmoreland County

Lincoln Highway, Clopper Street, Pittsburgh Street, Youghiogheny Street, Hancock Avenue

Uniontown, PA—The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing surface improvement work on Route 30 (Lincoln Highway), Route 130 (Clopper Street), Route 3002 (Pittsburgh Street), Route 3077 (Youghiogheny Street), and Route 4105 (Hancock Avenue) in North Huntingdon, Unity, East Huntingdon, Hempfield and Allegheny townships, Adamsburg Borough, and the City of Greensburg, Westmoreland County will begin Monday, July 21 weather permitting.

Single-lane alternating traffic controlled by flaggers will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday, as needed, through late October on the following roadways:

  • Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) in North Huntingdon Township
    • Between Malts Lane and Rocky Road/Ronda Court
  • Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) in Unity Township
    • Eastbound between St. Xaviers Road and Longbridge Road
    • Westbound between St. Xaviers Road and Idelwild Hill Road
  • Route 130 (Clopper Street) in the City of Greensburg
    • Between College Avenue and North Main Street
  • Route 3002 (Pittsburgh Street) in East Huntingdon Township
    • Between Hornertown Road and Route 819 (Broadway Avenue)
  • Route 3077 (Youghiogheny Street) in Adamsburg Borough and Hempfield Township
    • Between Asher Lane and Route 4010 (Coal Street)
  • Route 4105 (Hancock Avenue) in Allegheny Township
    • Between Leona Lane and Route 56 (Custer Avenue)

Tresco Paving Corporation will conduct milling, base repair, leveling, wearing, and pavement marking work on this $11.3 million infrastructure investment.

All work depends on weather and operations.

Motorists should exercise caution traveling through work zones and be alert for workers. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
