Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that single-lane restrictions will remain in place on Route 21 (Main Street) between Locust Street and Ely Avenue in Franklin Township, Greene County, through early January.
Traffic will continue to be controlled by flaggers during this period. Motorists may also encounter intermittent intersection closures, with traffic detoured to the next available intersection as needed.
Crews from Columbia Gas began installing a new gas line and tap locations on Monday, November 17, in advance of the upcoming Route 18/Route 21 Safety Improvements (West Waynesburg Turn Lane) project, which is scheduled to begin in Spring 2026.
Motorists should remain alert and use caution when traveling through the area.
