Route 119 Memorial Boulevard Traffic Pattern Changes Implemented in Fayette County

Uniontown, PA— The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing that a new traffic pattern was recently implemented as part of the Route 119 (Memorial Boulevard) Signal Improvement Project in the City of Connellsville, Fayette County

PennDOT and its partners are actively monitoring traffic conditions and assessing the effectiveness of the new patterns. Traffic signal adjustments will be made, as necessary, to help improve traffic flow and enhance safety for all roadway users.

Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the area, remain alert to changing conditions, and allow extra time for their daily commutes while these adjustments are underway.

PennDOT appreciates the public’s patience as these changes are implemented.

Customer inquiries can be submitted through the Customer Care Center or by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD.

The work is part of a $2.4 million infrastructure investment which includes full replacement of the existing traffic signals at McDonald's and Pittsburgh Street (Route 1037) intersections and upgrades to traffic signals at Route 201 (Vanderbilt Road), Route 711 (Crawford Avenue), Shopping Plaza Drive, and Route 1037 (York Avenue/Water Street). All intersections will have upgrades to sidewalks, ADA ramps, pavement markings, and signage. Crews from Bruce & Merrilees Electric Company are conducting this work.
