Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing the closure of a portion of Route 1061 (Trees Mill Road) in Salem Township, Westmoreland County, will begin Thursday, July 31.
Route 1061 (Trees Mill Road) will close to traffic at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday, July 31 between Church Street and Route 1034 (Athena Drive) to allow crews to replace a pipe and base material under the roadway.
Traffic will follow a posted detour that includes Route 1034 (Athena Drive), Route 819, Route 66 and Route 22.
The Westmoreland County maintenance department will conduct this replacement work through late August, depending on weather and operations.
Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
