Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager David Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of October 6. All maintenance activities are dependent on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Pipe/box culvert installation:
- Route 3043 (Plumber School Road) in South Huntington Township
Slide repair:
- Route 4027 (Paintertown Road) in North Huntington Township
Mechanized patching:
- Route 31 (Glades Pike Road) in Donegal Township
- Route 130 (Pleasant Unity Road) in Cook Township
Shoulder stabilization:
- Route 31 (Glades Pike Road) in Donegal Township
- Route 711 in Ligonier Township
Inlet cleaning:
- Route 711 in Fairfield Township
Paving:
- Route 4027 (Paintertown Road) in North Huntington Township
Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, update existing signs, and address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.
