PennDOT’s Greene County Maintenance Update

Week of August 4, 2025

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Greene County Maintenance Manager Dale Baird has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of August 4. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.

Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Boom mowing:

  • Various routes in Greene County

Bridge replacement:

  • Route 3018 (Behm Road) in Aleppo Township
  • Between Black Creek Road and Whipkey Ridge Road
    • Detour:
      • Route 3001 (Aleppo Road)
      • Route 21 (Roy E. Furman Highway)
      • Route 3022 (Bristoria Road)
      • Route 3005 (Long Run Road)
      • Route 3018 (Behm Road)

Ditch cleaning:

  • Route 3011 (Hargus Creek Road) in Center Township
  • Route 2014 (Stoney Hill Road) in Monongahela Township

Inlet Cleaning:

  • Various routes in Greene County

Shoulder cutting:

  • Route 21 in Center and Richhill townships
  • Route 18 in Center and Franklin townships
  • Route 4001 (Dodds Hill Road) in Richhill Township
  • Route 4002 (Crabapple Road) in Richhill Township
  • Route 4003 (Veterans Road) in Richhill Township
  • Route 4008 (Nebo Ridge Road) in Richhill Township

Slide Repair:

Spray Patching:

Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide. 

PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, available free of charge 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to over 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices by calling 5-1-1 or following regional X alerts.
