Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Fayette County Maintenance Manager Jason L. Spangler has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of July 14. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Bridge work:
- Route 2003 (Wharton Furnace Road) in Wharton Township
- Between Greenhouse Road and Fayette Springs Road
- Posted Detour:
- Route 40 (National Pike)
- Route 381 (Elliottsville Road)
Brushing:
- Various routes in Fayette County
Inlet cleaning:
- Various routes in Fayette County
Pipe replacement:
- Route 2017 (Maple Summit Road) in Stewart Township
Shoulder cutting:
- Route 4027 (Gillespie Road) in Jefferson Township
- Route 4036 (Central School Road/Quaker Church Road) in Jefferson and Perry townships
- Route 4038 (Quaker Church Road) in Perry Township
Shoulder stabilization:
- Route 3003 (Tom Cat Hollow Road) in Springhill Township
- Route 3015 (Collier Road) in Georges Township
Side Dozing:
- Route 4006 (New Salem Road) in Menallen and South Union townships
Sign upgrading:
- Various routes in Fayette County
Sweeping:
- Various routes in Fayette County
Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.
