Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Fayette County Maintenance Manager Jason L. Spangler has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of September 22. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Bridge replacement:
- Route 4032 (Bolden Road) in Franklin Township
- Between Cooper Road and Route 1016 (Saw Mill Road)
- Posted detour:
- Route 1016 (Saw Mill Road)
- Route 1043 (Bitner Road)
- Route 4013 (Strong Road)
Base repair:
- Route 166 (Republic Road) in German Township
- Route 3009 (Old Frame Road) in Nicholson Township
Inlet repair:
- Route 166 (New Geneva Road) in Nicholson Township
Shoulder repair:
- Route 40 (National Pike) in North Union Township
- Route 711 (Springfield Pike) in Connellsville Township
- Route 1050 (Quail Hill Road) in Bullskin Township
- Route 1051 (Crawford Avenue and Breakneck Road) in Connellsville Township
- Route 4003 (Albany Road) in Jefferson Township
- Route 4028 (Grindstone Road) in Redstone Township
Side dozing:
- Route 3013 (Palmer Hollow Road) in Luzerne Township
- Route 4020 (Heisterburg Road) in Luzerne Township
Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, available free of charge 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to over 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices by calling 5-1-1 or following regional X alerts.
