Interstate 70 Ramp Closure Scheduled This Weekend in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a ramp closure and single-lane restrictions on Interstate 70 in Rostraver Township and North Belle Vernon Borough, Westmoreland County. 

Ramp Closure:

The westbound off-ramp from I-70 to Route 906 will be closed beginning Friday, October 3 at 6:00 PM through Monday, October 6 at 6:00 AM

  • Detour:
    • Continue west on I-70 past the closed exit. Take exit 40 (Charleroi/Allenport), turn right onto southbound Route 88, the enter eastbound I-70. From there, take Exit 41 (Belle Vernon/Monessen) to access Route 906.

Single-lane Restrictions:

Eastbound and westbound I-70 between Exit 41 (Belle Vernon / Monessen) to Exit 44 (Arnold City) from Friday, October 3 at 6:00 PM through Monday, October 6 at 6:00 AM

Motorists should remain alert and use caution when traveling through the area.

Golden Triangle Construction Company will be conducting concrete pavement patching, drainage repair, and barrier replacement as part of a larger pavement preservation project on I-70 from the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway to Route 906 (Belle Vernon Monessen Road/Main Street).

With an infrastructure investment of $9.69 million, work is expected to continue through late fall, pending weather and operational conditions.
