Dunlap Creek (Cast Iron) Bridge Long-term Closure Extended in Fayette County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that the closure of Dunlap Creek (Cast Iron) Bridge on Route 4003 (Market Street) between Route 4025 (Bridge Street) and Brownville Avenue in Brownsville Borough, Fayette County, which began Monday, November 18, 2024, has been extended until early June 2026.

Detour route:

·       Route 4003 (Market Street)

·       Route 4025 (Bridge Street)

·       Route 2089/88 (Blainsburg Hill Road)

·       Route 40 (National Pike)

·       Route 4003 (Market Street)

Crews from Allison Park Contractors will continue to work on rehabilitating and reassembling the historic bridge carrying Market Street over Dunlap Creek – an infrastructure preservation investment of $9M.
