Bridge Preservation Work Scheduled in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing single-lane restrictions on northbound Route 119 between Route 3095 (Technology Drive) to Ramp A1 (northbound Route 119/Youngwood) in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, weather permitting.

Alternating single-lane restrictions will be in place beginning Thursday, October 16 through late-October from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM to allow crews to perform deck patching on the structure carrying northbound Route 119 over the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The work is being completed by Allison Park Contractors, Inc., which is retrofitting rocker bearings at multiple sites throughout the district. This effort is part of a larger infrastructure improvement project with a $745,000 infrastructure investment.

Motorists should remain alert and use caution when traveling through the area.
