Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing the extended closure of a portion of Route 2041 (Beallsville Road) and Route 2034 (Sunset Drive) in West Pike Run Township, Washington County are anticipated to reopen in late December.
Route 2041 (Beallsville Road) is closed between Route 2034 (Sunset Drive) and Oak Road.
- Posted detour: Route 917, Route 40, and Route 2041 (Beallsville Road).
Route 2034 (Sunset Drive) is closed between Route 2041 (Beallsville Road) and Hickory Road.
- Posted detour: Route 2071 (Richeyville Road), Route 40, Route 2041 (Beallsville Road), and Route 2034 (Sunset Drive).
The bridges were closed while Department Force Bridge crews worked on demolishing the existing structure, replacing it with precast concrete box culvert, and widening the approaches. During the extended closure the bridges will be paved, and guiderail will be installed. A $750,000 infrastructure investment project.
All work depends on weather and operational conditions.
