Single-lane restrictions will be in place on Route 40 in both directions between Route 3019 (Morgantown Street)/Route 119 (Morgantown Road) and Route 3009 (Walnut Hill Road).
Lane restrictions are anticipated from Thursday, September 14 through early-to-mid October depending on weather and operations.
These operations are part of a $2.4 million bridge preservation project that includes installation of latex concrete overlay on five different bridges throughout Fayette County and other bridge repair work. The project is anticipated to be complete in late 2023.
Motorists are encouraged to remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
