Uniontown, PA – Washington County Maintenance Manager, Susan Howard, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of May 15, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting and operational basis.
During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
Boom mowing is scheduled for:
- Route 4035 (Lynn Portal Road, Eberle Road, and Old Ridge Road) in Cross Creek Township
- Route 4045 (Willow Road and Eberle Road) in Hopewell and Mt. Pleasant Townships
- Route 4043 (North Buffalo Road) in Hopewell Township
- Route 2038 (South California Drive and Clover Hill Road) in West Pike Township and California Borough
Slide repair is scheduled for:
- Route 2081 (Daisytown Road) in West Pike Run Township
Debris removal is scheduled for:
- Interstate 70 in Somerset and Fallowfield Townships and Twilight Borough
- Intersate 79 in South Strabane, Chartiers, North Strabane, and Cecil Townships
- Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Hanover, Smith and Robinson Townships
- Route 19 (Washington Road) in South Strabane, North Strabane, and Peters Townships
Drain cleaning is scheduled for:
- Route 1001 (Reissing Road) in Cecil Township
Shoulder cutting is scheduled for:
- Route 3041 (Cash Day Road) in Morris Township
- Route 18 (Prosperity Pike) in Morris Township
- Route 3033 (Sparta Road) in Morris Township
- Route 3022 (Mt. Zion Road) in Morris Township
- Route 231(East Finley Drive, North Road) in East Finley, Donegal, and Blaine Townships
- Route 221(South Bridge Road, Green Valley Road, and Buffalo Creek Road) in South Franklin, Buffalo and Blaine Townships
Bridge repair is scheduled for:
- Route 3021 (Old Brick Road) in West Finley Township
- Route 221 (South Bridge Road) in Buffalo Township
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.
PennDOT has a toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern. This number can also be utilized to report locations of dead deer on state highways. The number is 1-800-FIX ROAD (1-800-349-7623).
