Uniontown, PA – Fayette County Maintenance Manager, Jason L. Spangler, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of August 9, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
Bridge replacement is scheduled for:
- Route 4001 (Rush Run Road) in Luzerne Township.
Base repair is scheduled for:
- Route 1009 (White and Bear Rocks Road) in Bullskin and Saltlick townships and
- Route 1050 (Buchanan Road) in Saltlick township.
Inlet cleaning is scheduled for:
- Route 0166 (New Geneva Road) in Nicholson Township.
Boom mowing is scheduled for:
- Route 0381 (Farmington Ohiopyle Road) in Wharton Township;
- Route 2010 (Chalk Hill Ohiopyle Road) in Wharton and Stewart townships;
- Route 2011 (Old Mill Road) in Wharton Township; and
- Route 2015 (Nelson Road) in Wharton Township.
Brushing is scheduled for:
- Route 4004 (Ralph New Salem Road) in German Township.
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.
