Southbound Route 51 Saw Mill Run Boulevard Lane Restriction Begins Monday in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing a lane restriction on southbound Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will begin Monday, August 5 weather permitting.

The emergency pull-off lane on southbound Route 51 between Crane Avenue and Woodruff Street will close to traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Monday morning continuously through Friday, August 16. Crews working for ALCOSAN will conduct manhole rehabilitation operations. Flaggers will assist motorists in the area as needed.

​This work is not part of the Route 51 bridge demolition however, the contractor will conduct the operations within the area of PennDOT's work zone, which maintains access to the local businesses.
