Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing overnight washing activities on various bridges in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will begin Monday, October 5 weather permitting.
Starting Monday, overnight bridge washing operations requiring lane and shoulder restrictions in both directions will occur as needed on weeknights from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM through late October. Crews from Michael Facchiano Contracting, Inc. will conduct the washing activities in the following locations:
- I-376 between the North Shore (Exit 70C) and Grant Street (Exit 71A) interchanges
- Route 28 at the East Ohio Street (Exit 1B) interchange
- I-279 near the Chestnut Street / East Ohio Street (Exit 1D) exit
Additional restrictions may occur on associated ramps and intersections. Please stay alert and drive cautiously – safety is everyone’s responsibility.
