Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing sewer line replacement work on Forbes Avenue in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Friday night through Sunday night, February 13-15 weather permitting.
To accommodate emergency sewer line replacement work occurring on Forbes Avenue at Shingiss Street, the ramp from the northbound (inbound) Liberty Bridge to 6th Avenue/Forbes Avenue will close to traffic around-the-clock from 8:00 PM tonight, Friday, February 13 through 6:00 PM Sunday night, February 15. All traffic will be detoured to the northbound I-579/I-279/Route 28 exit ramp.

Northbound (inbound) Liberty Bridge to 6th Avenue/Forbes Avenue
- From northbound (inbound) Liberty Bridge, continue onto Crosstown Boulevard
- Bear right onto the northbound I-579/I-279/Route 28 exit ramp
- Take the right-hand exit ramp to PPG Arena/Centre Avenue
- Turn right onto Washington Place
- Turn right onto Fifth Avenue
- Turn left onto Sixth Avenue
- Continue to Forbes Avenue
- End detour
