    Route 910 Slide Repair Work Starts this Weekend in Richland Township

    First of six weekend closures.

    Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing slide repair work on Route 910 (Gibsonia Road) in Richland Township, Allegheny County will occur this weekend, Friday night, June 19 through Monday morning, June 22 weather permitting.

    Slide mitigation and base repair work requiring a full closure and detour of Route 910 between Middle Road and Community Center Drive will begin at 7:00 PM Friday night. The roadway will close to traffic around-the-clock through 5:00 AM Monday morning. This is the first of six planned weekend closures for the roadway improvement work.

    West of the Closure

    • From Route 910, take Route 8 southbound
    • Turn left onto Wildwood Road Extension
    • Turn left onto Middle Road
    • Follow Middle Road back to Route 910
    • End detour

    East of the Closure

    • Same detour in the opposite direction

    Additional details will be provided in advance of the next weekend closure.

    Oversized loads will be accommodated this weekend.

    The prime contractor is A. Folino Construction on this $10.4 million group paving project.

    Please allow extra time and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

    Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
