Route 8 Penn Avenue Emergency Overnight Road Repair Work Tonight in Wilkinsburg

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing emergency repair work on Penn Avenue (Route 8) in Wilkinsburg Borough, Allegheny County will occur tonight, Monday, July 13 weather permitting.  

Lane restrictions controlled by flaggers will occur on Penn Avenue at the intersection with Center Street from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Crews from Daniels Excavating will conduct emergency road repair work for Peoples Gas.  This area needs addressed as part of the detour route for the I-376 Commercial Street Bridge replacement project.

Please use caution if traveling on this roadway. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
