    Route 65, Route 4057 Locust Street Water Mainline Restoration Work Begins Monday in Emsworth

    Locust Street to close daily beginning Thursday.

    Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing restrictions on Route 65 and Locust Street (Route 4057) in Emsworth Borough, Allegheny County will begin Monday, September 28 weather permitting.

    To accommodate disconnection of facilities and road restoration work, the following restrictions will occur according to the schedule below:

    Monday through Wednesday, September 28-October 30

    • Route 65 will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic in each direction at the intersection with Locust Street from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night for facility disconnection work. Northbound Route 65 traffic will be crossed over into a southbound lane.

    Wednesday and Thursday, September 30-October 1

    • Northbound Route 65 will have a single-lane restriction at the intersection with Locust Street from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day for road restoration work.

    Thursday, October 1 through Friday, October 9

    • Locust Street will close to traffic between Route 65 and Center Avenue from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each weekday through Friday, October 9 for road restoration work.
      • Drivers will use Route 65, Hazelwood Avenue, and Center Avenue as the detour route.
