Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing inspection work on the pedestrian bridge over Route 380 (Bigelow Boulevard) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will occur Monday, June 29 weather permitting.
Crews from GAI Consultants and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct inspection activities of the pedestrian bridge over Bigelow Boulevard from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday. To accommodate this inspection work, the following restrictions will occur:
- Bigelow Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane of traffic in each direction just west of the intersection with the Bloomfield Bridge. Crews will start their inspection activities in the eastbound direction.
- When crews move to work in the westbound direction, Bloomfield Bridge traffic heading to west 380/Downtown will be reduced from two turning lanes to one.
