    Route 28 Inspection Activities Tuesday, Wednesday in Allegheny County

    Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing bridge inspection activities on Route 28 in Allegheny County will occur Tuesday and Wednesday, August 25-26 weather permitting.

    There will be single-lane restrictions along Route 28 to accommodate inspection activities of the structures over the Allegheny Valley railroad from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day according to the following schedule:

    Tuesday, August 25

    • Southbound Route 28 just south of the on-ramp at the Route 8/Etna/Butler (Exit 5) interchange

    Wednesday, August 26

    • Northbound Route 28 just south of the off-ramp at the Route 8/Etna/Butler (Exit 5) interchange

    Crews from A&A Consultants will conduct the inspection activities.

    Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
