    Route 2085 Birmingham Bridge Inspection Work Saturday in Pittsburgh

    Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing inspection work on the Birmingham Bridge which carries Route 2085 over the Monongahela River in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Saturday, June 20 weather permitting.

    Lane and shoulder restrictions will occur in both directions on the Birmingham Bridge from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday. Crews from Michael Baker International conduct bridge inspection work.

    Please use caution if traveling on this bridge. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.

    Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
