Route 2063 Frey Road Culvert Emergency Maintenance Operations Begin Wednesday in Allegheny County

Frey Road to close to traffic.

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing emergency maintenance operations on Frey Road (Route 2063) in the Municipalities of Monroeville and Penn Hills, Allegheny County will begin Wednesday, August 19 weather permitting.

Frey Road will close to traffic between Thompson Run Road and Cameron Drive from 7:00 AM Wednesday continuously through 2:00 PM Thursday, August 20. PennDOT crews will conduct debris removal activities at the structure carrying Frey Road over Thompson Run. Traffic will be detoured.

  • From Thompson Run Road head south
  • Turn right onto Jefferson Road
  • Jefferson Road becomes Universal Road
  • Bear right onto Frey Road
  • End detour

North of the closure

  • Same detour in the opposite direction
