Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing the closure of Green Drive at the intersection with Curry Hollow Road (Route 2040) in Pleasant Hills Borough is underway.
Improvement work including a new storm sewer system, waterline installation, curb upgrades, signal foundation work, and roadway improvements will occur through late June on Curry Hollow Road near Green Drive. To allow this work to occur, Green Drive at Curry Hollow Road will close to traffic around-the-clock through Tuesday, June 30. Traffic will be detoured.

· Turn left onto Old Clairton Road
· Turn left onto Route 51
· Take the ramp to South Park and Curry Hollow Road
· Follow Curry Hollow Road back to Green Drive

· From Curry Hollow Road, take the ramp to South 51 toward Clairton
· Turn right onto Old Clairton Road
· Turn right onto Broadway Drive
· Follow Broadway Drive to Green Drive
· End detour
Work on this $28.16 million betterment project includes widening, milling and paving, concrete patching, drainage improvements, signal upgrades, and guide rail updates will occur between Broughton Road in South Park Township and Ceco Drive in West Mifflin Borough. The project will occur in phases and require short-term and long-term lane closures, weekend lane restrictions, and a short-term ramp detour at the Route 51 interchange. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2027.
