    Pavement Marking Operations Saturday, Sunday in District 11

    Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing pavement marking operations in various locations in Allegheny, Beaver, and Lawrence counties will occur Saturday and Sunday, August 29-30 weather permitting.

    Short-term, single-lane restrictions will occur as needed from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day on the following roads:

    Allegheny County

    • Route 28 in both directions between the I-579/I-279 and Freeport/Millerstown (Exit 16) interchanges.
    • Route 1001 (Butler Street/Main Street/Freeport Road/Pittsburgh Street/Seventh Avenue

    Beaver County

    • Route 65 from Allegheny County to Lawrence County

    Lawrence County

    • Route 65 from Beaver County to the City of New Castle

    Line painting is an important part of PennDOT’s highway safety initiatives. Paint lines provide direction, delineation, and guidance to drivers.

    Generally, PennDOT is not responsible for paint on vehicles. Drivers should use caution and be aware of changing traffic patterns when driving through the area. 

    Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
