Northbound I-579 Veterans Bridge Ramp to Northbound Route 28/Etna Restriction Saturday in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing bridge inspection activities of the structure carrying Chestnut Street over Route 28 in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will occur Saturday, June 27 weather permitting. 

To accommodate the inspection activities, there will be a lane-restriction and traffic will be shifted on the northbound I-579 Veterans Bridge ramp to northbound Route 28/Etna from 6:00 AM to noon on Saturday.

Crews from HDR, Inc. and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct the inspection activities. All ramps will remain open.
